Ok ... Thanks .............
So ...... given that it is an 8.2" deck height, with Yates heads, is the manifold a true 'Windsor' type manifold? or a 'Boss' type manifold? I also noticed that the cam bearing dimension? Are the standard '302' sized bearings? Cheers,

Yes generally it's a Boss style intake but not quite....ports are a little different on the yates head.
Yates heads, like Cleveland heads will bolt onto a windsor block. Pete. |

Hmmm .... so manifolds are different ....
Are they (The Yates C3 heads) that much better than say an AFR 205 or 225? Especially for the price? And the SVO blocks use the same camshaft bearings as a standard Windsor 5.0L dont they? Cheers,

Manifolds are different to what? std windsor yes...boss 302...slightly.
Yates heads better for what? A street engine...no. A solid roller high rpm race engine......probably. R and S 302 blocks have common diameter(not stepped like stock blocks) cam bearing O/D. Which need roller cam bearings and a special camshaft. Pete. |
