gday all
my ef has been leaking coolant for a while now, and its finally annoyed me enough to do something about it. i noticed a small crack in the side of my radiator and am keen to take it out and look for any other cracks. Question being how hard is it to remove a radiator from an ef, are there any tricky areas that i should look out for? cheers in advance

Radiator is real easy to change.
First unplug the thermofans. Unbolt the 2 top bolts that hold thermo fans in and lift thermfan assembly out. Disconnect both the top and bottom radiator hoses. Wait for coolant to drain out. Unbolt the 2 bolts that hold the top of the radiator in and then lift radiator out. Installation is the reverse. Remember after filling back up with new coolant, to run engine at around 1800-2000 rpm until water in header tank is hot. this indicates that the thermstat is open and all air should have bee purged from the head.

Dont forget to disconnect the transmission fluid lines (if yours is auto). On the driver's side end tank.
