hi mate,

have you tried contacting a gearbox conversion specialist, they might have a bellhousing for the C4 to mount directly to the 4.0L. don't know if any one tried it on a later model engine.

well i contacted a mob that built my c4 and they are trying to come up with a setup that will bolt a c4 to the 4.0l i guess this wont be a cheap mod but im sure it will be worth it, they havent done this conversion onto the c4 before but one of the blokes said a while back it would be a cool conversion and wanted to atempt it so i rang the right place i also tryed other places and they didnt want a grain of it so. i will install the motor and im gonna drop the box out then cart the car in there and they will fit it up but they will see if they can come up with al lthe adpters and bellhousings and all that gear first before i finalise if im gonna do this or not at this point im going to if its possible of cause

ok .
welcome aboard
now
to start of with you will need to source out a motor from a XG / XH ute , they use engine mounts that suit the X Series falcons
once you got thos bits you can bolt tha motor in , and then find Series 1 EB / wiring harness as those models didnt have Smartlock , which is a big help .....
hope that sheds some lite onto the subject .

EDIT i just remebered if you do find a XG ute use all the wiring and motor from it for your conversion to your XF , use the dash and so on that way you dont need to find EB wiring harness's

find a wreck , sell motor and get tickford motor
all you need is the wiring and everything else that bolts to the motor .
