I want to get youy thoughts on the different enclosure options a manufacturer outlines in the installation manuals and the difference in sound. The first option is a standard sealed enclosure:

....[----]....
: : [---] =Sub
:.............: ........=enclosure

As compared to fully enclosed ported option:

...............
: :
....[----].... [---] =Sub
: __ ........=enclosure
: __ __
:.............: __ =Port

The first option is more conventional but the latter requires less Volume to mount in.
Anyonw go tany thoughts or can shed some light on the topic?

what sub is it?

your drawings arent really descriptive either lol

generally a sealed box is better for SQ, and a ported box is better for SPL

my box is ported and it sounds good, pretty tight for 2x12" subs

Any thoughts?????
the ported option for the pioneer subs requires only .9 cuft, where as fully sealed needs 1.5. Normally ported comes in at a hefty 2 cuft. Space is of the essence but i dont want to loose the power of the sealed box...

have you already got the subs? if not, get a pair of Pioneer TS-W306C's, IIRC they only need 1 cubic foot each, as opposed to the 305's 1.5
