Don't really know how to explain this but I've got an issue on petrol.
I've already replaced the intank pump and filter to try to fix it, but no good (although the petrol pump doesn't make a big high pitched whine any more! :) ).
The problem is, that after drivign on petrol for a while (around 5 minutes usually), the engine starts to become gutless as though it's not getting enough fuel or anything (it'll continue to cruise, but won't accelerate). Until this point it runs perfectly. It's like the injectors get blocked or something... Any ideas?
I guess the next step is to remove the injectors and clean them...

it's a new cat converter, and chances are if it was something aside from the fuel system it'd effect the LPG aswell...

so how do i go about checking fuel pressure? and testing the regulator?

yep, drained it all out when i changed the pump, got as much dirt out the tanks as possiable while doing it, and refilled with new petrol, premium too...

the queer thing is that it runs fine for the first few minutes and then goes to the s**t!

So it runs Ok as it's warming up, then runs sluggy when cruising..

I'm just wondering while cruising and it's playing up if you give it WOT does it splutter a bit then take off like a cat with a cracker up its a***.

If it does then I'll bet it's the O2 sensor going faulty and showing constantly rich so the EEC is leaning out and going too far, the same thing happened on my 8 a while back but luckily I had a WideBand O2 Meter in the car and around 20:1 AFR it runs s**t and if it gets to around 30:1 she starts to backfire..

A couple of ways to test: Do a diagnostic test on the EEC and see if it returns an error code http://www.fordmods.com/forums/documents.php?doc=52
Or stick a multimeter on the sensor and once the cars warm and running for a minute or two the sensor should read around the 0.5v mark, if it's down around .1 - .2v or up at .8 - .9v and the cars running s**t then thats the prob.. :D

If the tank vent is blocked then a vacuum can form in the tank which causes fuel starvation problems. This is why you try it with the cap off.
