I have an XE Falcon converted to EFI, I brought t the car as a bare shell and with out a motor.
I have now got it all back together but am having problems getting it to run. I can make the car run by manually squirting lpg gas in to the inlet manifold, but thats it. I have fuel at the injector rail and spark when you crank it overbut no go . its like the injectors don't squirt fuel - what tells them when to pluse/squirt fuel I don't have a workshop manual that covers the EFI set and I'm starting to think I'm missing a vital part. help please it's driving me nuts |

Are you using an efi wiring loom, and you have the computer based at the passengers kick panel and an efi distributor.?

It was running with the EFI set up before I got the car.
The loom and ECU seems to be all there, I've just had to replace all the EFI hardware under the bonnet ie: airflow meter, airbox, intake piping and manifold, sensors, dizzy etc. I running a dizzy out of a XE carby motor - I was/am under the understanding that the XE set up used the same dizzy as the carby engines |

She's all go , turns out the main reason was just a bad earth. I hate it when is such a simple thing like that.
Now we are just doing a bit of trial and error to regulate the fuel pressure. I'm using a 3.3 motor with the 4.1 EFI set up which of course is over fueling. You can run the fuel pump just to prime the system, disconnect the pump and crank it over and she runs - voodo s**t - an efi car that runs with no fuel pressure. as soon as you reconnect the pump it just drops dead. We're just going to fit an inline adjustable regulator an see how it works out. Once we've got it running 100% work will start on the turbo setup. |
