I've got a pair of 100w Narva rectangular driving lights, they wont fit in the grille as per the other thread showing them in the vents.
If you've got some, where and how have you mounted the driving lights? The ones I've got are about 8cm high by 20cm wide. I only want them on temporarily for a trip to Qld and back I'm doing in a few weeks so its gotta be reversible. Dont worry about the wiring, I know how to solve that, I'm just curious about the mounting of the lights. |

madmaax, thats the other thread I was referring about, I dont want to put them in there, besides even if I wanted to, they wouldn't fit because the hole would have to be enlarged by... oh... perhaps triple its size
I'm thinking just above the number plate in front of the fake grille.... They'll only be on for a few weeks so it doesn't really concern me... |

Ive stuck on a set of driving lights identical to the driving lights found on the XY GT's and the like and just made up a bracket to mount them on. I didnt want them hanging from the numberplate as it would be too far forward. So i made up a bar that goes along the back of the grille on my eb and then has two prongs that stick out either side of the ford badge. The lights just swing up out of the way when the bonnets lifted. However, due to the prongs being about 15cm long, theyre really wobbly. So i made them a bit lower, and stuck vacuum caps over the end of the thread, and just have them sitting on my bumper. Works a charm, and theyre right up close to the bonnet and out of the way. I might be able to get some pics for it if youre interested

[quote] Of course I realise you would need to change your lights, just making a sugestion for a more permanent fix.

It is a good idea but the lights are only needed temporarily, I have no intent on keeping them on or wanting to spend any more money than necessary to keep this car going.
