hey guys,

the last few times i have filled up, to the top, i have calculated my average fuel consumption (litres filled up / km driven x 100)

i have been getting between 15-16L/100km's

i have recentely had a major service done on it so everything should be running at its best, the engine has done 290K tho which can't help!

any thoughts on these figures?

cheers

Daniel

Depends on how you drive & the ratio of highway driving to city driving. If it mostly city driving and your racing everyone from the lights then that would be normal.
On my average week I get around 12-13, however Its a 100kph cruise to work each day.

I am lucky to get 500 kms around town in my NL Fairlane - standard car.

Get up to 750kms from a tank on the highway.

BTW, no LPG, just a 4.0 Litre engine. Only use unleaded fuel.

I have been averaging 16 to 18l/100kms city driving and thats driving like miss daisy.

I have new plugs, new k&n filter, new o2 sensor, new temp sensor, I am about to do leads and dizzy cap.

My gas is average too from 340kms to 250kms a tank.

Any suggestions

doing a injection clean and cleaning off the carbon off the valves will help, if u want to get them down, if get a piggy back ecu tune it for 98 octane, and econemy and it will drop heaps.
