An updated link 16/11/05

http://www.kenwoodhk.com.hk/english/pro ... temstart=0

and the unit is a DDX8037

Anyway I'm thinking of buying this unit. It might just meet my needs and then some. It appears to be a good looking unit that would suit the Fairmonts 2 din space, and bring the vehicle into the year 2005 with style.
That's if it can go into that 2 din spot?
What do you think of it guys?

Release price was $3300

Now $2200

This one 2 din unit contains the touch screen LDC
4X50W Mos Fet Amplification
DTS, DOLBY DIGITAL, PRO-LOGIC II all onbaord (no sperate boxes)
A reversing camera/mirror input
DVD/CD/VCD player behind the screen

How nice would it look in the EF Fairmont?

I might branch this thread of a bit. Feel free to add anything you want guys. In fact I encourage it. I've been looking for cheap sound deadening materials and stories. Heres an interesting link.
Comments please.

I was in Strathfield today, and it turns out that that Kenwood with all the fruit is now $2200. A bit more reasonable.

I ordered my Kenwood 2 din screen today. Along with an MTX Thunder 3404 (I think) 4 channel amp, and a TV tuner to go with the Kenwood.
Should be nice I think. Especially with the handbrake cut off defeated!

Not sure exactly. The installer will do it, they do it for truckies all the time.
I'll find out as much as I can.

The hand-brake is a negative trigger - just ground it and you're away :)

Yeah the picture is good. Sharp and clear. I ordered a 2 din surround panel in cappa from coventrys $90.00. :? They have it now for me to pick up. I thought they were rare items, I was worried there for a moment.
