Redline lightweight shockproof oil or Redline MT90 if you dont drive hard all the time.

Expensive but excellent oil. Will make a difference to how your gearbox feels when changing gears.

this oil is the best on the market for manual gearboxes it really stops the gear grinding when you change gears and being such a thick oil it really protects the gears and prolongs the life of the box.

spare parts guys realy have no idea.

half the front drive boxes ever made are meant to have ATF in them.
we only have 2 places here that stock lubrizol . cheaper auto spares and ford. the local ford dealer buys it from cheaper auto spares. work that one out

Had my mechanic put redline oil in. Was brillant, the shift was easier and faster.

IIRC I got my Lubrizol (the penrite stuff) from Autopro - there are a few stores in Sydney: http://www.autopro.com.au/autopro/autop ... enDocument .
Ring them first to see if they have it - hopefully they'll be a bit more competent than the twits you mentioned.
