Shiny rust free valves?

You'd have to of course fit a glass head so you can see the benefits.

Silly data_mine.
What use is a glass head if your boron-laced titanium rocker cover is blocking the view from above??

S/S valves dissipate heat better. No real performance benefit would be noticed compared to normal valves although it you're pushing 600HP out of the engine sustained around the track, then upgraded valves are a good idea.

As for street use, the money spent on S/S valves, or any other type of exotic valve like sodium filled or titanium, is better spent on other upgrades.

Problem with std valves is they are 2 peices welded together, where as stainless are one peice. When revved hard constantly you can drop std valves, however you dont suffer this problem as much in the SS variants. Its more to do with the collet groove area on SS valves if your collets and retainers arnt prepped properly

Especially with 180+ pounds of spring pressure which is not uncommon among the v8's with big cams. STD valves break the heads off.
