I know the AU 6 runs coil pack, but does anyone know if it still has the
hole/mount for an e-series distributor? was looking to use the AU engine
in and older model and run a dissy.

AU does have a dummy shaft to drive the oil pump, you can remove that and install the dissy in its place. One small issue is the clamp bolt hole is on the opposite side of the dissy to the EF (at least on AU Series 3 blocks) I don't think it is a big issue though.
Cheers

Would this effect the oil pump though?

[/quote]No, the dummy shaft is installed to drive the oil pump when the distributor or CAS is not there, you need one of the three to drive the oil pump.

Apparently the EF coil pack system had a few bugs. As the EL was a fill in model, they went back to the dizzy to save costs as previously mentioned. The AU coil pack had more development than the EF.
