just curious people, im bout to cut my rear resonator off, whats the best spot to cut it off if for some reason you wanna get the rear pipe welded back on? and i have a custom 2.5 inch system with a lukey ultraflow muffler in the middle (basically straight thru) how loud will the car be without the rear muffler, and more important, will it sound any good, as i dont like how it sounds now...to... rice burnerish

Take the resinator off.

I had the exact redback system on the car, I let it burn in over 3 months but the exhaust note was way too quiet. Had to get the revs up past 3500rpm for any really noise and at idle it sounded nearly stock.

Took it back to an exhaust shop and they charged me $50 to remove the resinator and replace it with some black 2.5in pipe. They just cut the tail pipe where it joins into the resinator and flanged and mig welded the new pipe over it. Also welded a bracket on for the rubber mount under the back gaurd.

When the exhaust fitter started it up in the garage, i said to myself "now that's what i'm talking about"

Had alot of remarks in the following weeks; like "did you get a sportz exhaust fitted to your car" Before no one even knew it had an sportz exhaust system on it.

Doesn't drone either on the highway, is loud accelerating and then quite when it locks into 4th..

Only had good comments..................................

HI
is your redback system the one with the hotdog resinator?????

I've just got some old Pacie's (it 4.1 EFI XF) through a hollowed cat (was all blocked) all the way to a Mecury (I think) hotdog. Its great, doesn't drone unless your sitting over 1800rpm, which is about 120kmh. Sounds awesome when you boot it.
