under $10k youve got no chance, eng and box alone would cost you that much. then you have to have all of the looms wired up and the bonnet needs to be modded or else it wont close theres a whole heaps of things that have to be done. if you after a brand new eng then i spose the only people to speak to are ford

Just buy an xr6t, it'll probably work out cheaper....

you'll be looking at double that to have it fitted and looking like it is meant to be in there.

you might get away with maybe $15000.

Honestly though if you walk in to my work and asked to have it done we would probably point you in the direction of different shop.
Jobs like that are a big headache for very little profit!

Would be cheaper to buy a second hand ba xr6 turbo, and you would have a better car all round...

fitting and fabricating the parts required and tuning would come to 10k in labour alone, thats if you can find someone willing to take on the job and see it thru to the end!!!

Ford could probably sell u a new engine since they are the only ones that deal in new ford parts!!!!!

sell the ef take the money you get and the 10k you were willing to waste and buy an xr6t and you will have trouble free hassle free motoring and no head aches and sleepless nights worrying about the 20K plus you just spend on a car thats worth 8K

Dude... just turbo or blow the 4 litre engine you got. For $10k you can get a pretty reliable set up making decent power.

U can get from Fern Tree Gully auto salvage a complete ba xr6T motor...all the turbo components, the loom etc and transmission gear for 7.5K.

Will cost u more than 10K all up mate.

Tony that own JETXR did this and he had his work done by racetek in dandenong i think - theyd be the people to talk to

Also ...u have to modify your bonnent too cause the motor has to be slightly raised to fit in the EF/EL engine bay.....Tony had a big a** rectangle cut out so the rocker cover just showed outta the bonnet
