dude as people have said before ,it could be anything depending on the day ,could be there dyno ,you might get 140 kw on one and 155 on another so theres not much you can do about it .im sure once its worn in a bit you may get a bit more out of it

It would have been nice to know what you had befor you put the ITS engine in. at least that way you can put $ per kw figure on it and work out if it was worth it.
try getting to a dyno day some where so you can compare it to what other people are getting with a 4L. If a stocker comes in and runs 100kw then you come in and run 140kw then you're doing pretty well. on the other hand if you get 140 and a stocker gets 125kw i'd be a little disapointed. With dynos reading different every where it really the only way to work out where you're at |

Sounds pretty fair to me for the mods.
The BBM is a worthwhile next and this will beef up the low end for you quite a bit. 150-160rwkw is not easy but can be done on a manaul with a bigger cam and head work but I guess you chose the stg 3 and this is pretty much more than i would expected from it to be honest. |

personally, chuck in some ba xr6t mkII plugs and see how you go, spiral core leads if yours arent already and maybe some ram air induction to give a bit more airflow? Any dyno results I have seen have had atmospheric correction applied to the results. Being from an aviation background, I just always assumed this meant that the reulsts were normalised to ISA. Am I wrong? |

AHH, no BBM. I'm not sure what Marks figures are based on, but you definitely want to get the BBM. I'm sure that engine in an EF with the EECV and BBM would get the advertised 145 - although as the others have said there's so much variations in dyno readings it's not funny.
My it's engine isn't real happy in hot weather and the power loss with hot ambient temp and/or heat soak is quite noticable (like having a heavy passenger on board) How many miles has the engine done since going in ? If it's only got a few thousand on it you'll probably get a bit more later. What problems have you had ??

hey hyena,
its good to hear from someone who actualy has one of marks engines. the engine has done around 6500kms, should i still expect an increase in power? i wouldnt think so. and i had quite a few problems, they all ended up getting fixed, mark paid for most of it, but while fixing these some others were found which i had to pay for, i after a a couple of weeks of trying to fing mark i gave up. i was just happy that everything had finaly been fixed. problems included (to start with) *VERY noisy tappets (lifters, whatever) *cacked, dented and leaky sump (aparently damaged during transport, so not excatly marks fault) *2 COMPLETELY MISSING rocker arm bolts *leaky rear main seal problems discovered while fixing others *8 more overtorqued rocker arm bolts (chewed the thread in the head out) *when fixing rear main, there was a problem discovered with the crank or something, and it neededto be speedie sleeved. to my knowledge mark paid my mechanic around 500 dollars prior to it all being fixed. however when all was fixed i then had to fork out an extra $440 for other problems found. **i had made the agreement with mark that i would pay for lifters to be fixed as this was only about $250, so i had to pay $190 more than agreed
