word of warning... mate bought a vp 5.0 over a year ago now and had it for 3 months and drove around a corner straight into a deep puddle sucked up water and snapped 2 rods... was an expencive lesson

also down there i hope you be cleaning the filter often as they pick up alot of s**t from the road....

dont wana spoil your fun but id hate to see another person destroy an engine to get some cold air....

Very neat looking job. I didnt have a holesaw when fitting the air ducting for my blower so drilled about 100 small holes, punched it out and then spent a few hours with the ol' tungsten carbide dremel bit smoothing it out.

I agree with toyinwitu - you'd want to be damn careful. My pod is mounted just under the headlight so it's not gonna be drowned but i still worry sometimes!!

Yeah my old ef had cold air with a similar setup for 3 years, and i drove it in the rain plenty of times.
I don't hit puddles intentionally.
I've also drilled a couple of small holes in the box just incase it does get a small amount of water in the box.
Filter gets cleaned every 15-20,000km (k+n).

I have also seen a few cars (even stock tarago's) that have come in to get a starter motor replaced after they ran through some water. The starter was fine! the engine wasn't.
