Hey y'all

my mate just got a el fairmont! and he was wondering if he - legally - can put super low kings in! he is worried about them making it to low - due to the front cross memeber!!! He worked this out off my car which has pedders lows and it is only 112 mm off the ground!!

Thanks

Well the law is 100mm from the lowest point, so it all depends on whether King Superlows are another 12mm lower then Pedders Lows..

he should be fine, there are a fair few ef/el's here with super-lows.

my super-lows will be fitted on friday, Cam from hi-tek (site sponsor) said that they should be fine for legal height (100mm).

hope it helps.

as far as i kno king superlows drop the car by 50-60mm and i think pedders lows drop the car by around 30mm...does that translate in the crossmember being 20-30mm lower with superlows than with lows?

could somebody with superlows plz post a pic of the distance between their front crossmember and the road?

I can't post apic, but my mates EL sedan, with 17's and Super Lows was close to the 100mm limit but still sat just above it.
You should be right.
I've found on most of the EF/EL's its sometimes parts of the exhaust that usually sit too low, or the eyelets for towing, the cross-member shouldn't be near the 100mm mark.

If you're in the West, North West Suburbs, try Sunshine Tyre-Power.
They're great on prices and really good on customer service afterwards.
Just don't go to The Tyre Factory, long story, but trust me!

Thats one of the problems, cause i've heard of a few people who have had the their new rims 'reposessed' back off them...
Plus when my best mate got wheels on his R31, he got home and 2 Nuts were gone, 2 were finger tight, and one was done up properly. Thats driving from Sunshine to Riddell...

Plus they are a bit of a rip-off on a lot of things.

Best thing about owning a falcon is (well here anyway) the coppers don't really look at you. My car was on its a** for years and they pulled me over, breath tested me and dident bother.. Now its at king superlow height and they don't even look twice, my main concern is insurance!
