OK ... here's some pics.
Sorry they are not the best ... the carpark under work is pretty dark.
The 6" splits are all hidden behind the factory speeaker grilles in the doors ... I can't see the 5"x7" speakers in the back ... they are hidden well.

The floor in the back is a bit dirty at the moment ... and the cones of the subs need a wipe down (they still have dust on them from the spare room ... hee hee).

Jaycar amp is mounted on a mini carpeted-MDF false floor on top of the transmission tunnel ... Pioneer amp is under the driver's seat.

The Pioneer 4ch amp fits snugly under the driver's seat with clearance above it as well.

Here's the details of the system I have installed:

Bought the headunit from EDMONTY ... and had other bits and pieces from my other car .. bought a new amp for the subs ... and got pre-fab enclosures that fit snugly behind the seats in the ute.

All I can say is DAMN ... it's loud ... mind you it's the first system I am have that I have had subs in my car ... I made sure I bought decent components (not Over the top though).

Here's the list

Sub Amplifier
Jaycar Response AA-0428 D-class amp - with sub-control remote (dash monuted)
Image

Subwoofers (Bro ... hee hee)
two JL Audio 12W0 (12" subs) ... only 125W RMS (can handle more though ... see JL Audio website)

These are in BeVa 1.25cu foot enclosures behind each front seat.

Component Amplifier
Pioneer GM6100F 4-channel bridgable amplifier - 60W RMS x 4
Image

Component speakers
Pioneer TS-C1625 - 16cm 2-way 220watt speakers
Image
Pioneer TS-A5713 - 5" x 7" 2-way 120watt speakers (rear-fill)
Image

All component speakers have been hidden behind the factory speaker grilles and barely noticeable at all.

And the the final piece
Headunit
Pioneer - DEH-P80MP

It's very clear indeed (especially after listening to the factory stereo).
Sounds awesome ... I can make it loud enough it's difficult to see straight ... or tone it down to nice sound quality.

There's vibration/rattle between the cabin and ute (there's a rubber seal between the 2).

I'm pretty happy with it ... and the other good thing is that it's pretty much all hidden out of site.
