So how many litres of fluid does it take to complete fill the box ? roughly

Yeah i would reccommend Gulf Western oils too, a bit on the pricey side but well worth it. Very good quality Oil thats for sure.

Depends .... the stall converter holds a bit ... the lines from the box to the radiator hold some as well as part of the radiator core. The box holds anywhere from 4-7 litres ... I am not 100% sure though ... I keep filling it till it dribbles out.

Then you need to drive the vehicle (or if on a hoist) ... put it in D and R repeatedly a few times to get the fluid moving around the auto ... then refil again.

One of the reasons Ford removed the dipstick was to stop Joe Average filling it with the wrong fluid. Dextron III etc will destroy the box.
