i was speaking to a friends friend and i dunno if what he says is for real.. but anyway:
he said to not to have a subwoofer in the boot if you have gas, as there can't be too much vibration in the boot or the tank could rupture or some sh*t like that. any feedback?

it COULD set up a vibration due to resonant frequencies etc etc, but i doubt it would be a problem. The tanks are desinged to withstand a heap of pressure. Id be more worryin about a spark igniting the gas, but again, gas tanks shouldnt leak!

easy solution though, remove the LPG and use it as god intended...... with your barbecue

My ED is on gas and I have a 15" sub in the boot. The box is removable and i havn't had a drama in the 2 years i have had it there

I've got duel fuel, and am about to install a 12" sub. Only problem I can see is that it probably won't get as much sound transfer to the cabin.

oh jees, ive got 2x 10" clarions in the boot and trust me evreything vibrates.. lpg is fine, doesnt do anything to it
your friends a twit. slap him for me. as mentioned, if u want a sub with tank gte the factory spacer from ford, but there not cheap |

There will be no problems running a sub with a gas tank. There is no way possible you could rupture the tank as the tank skin is approx 6mm thick. If it was the case all windows with sub installs should be smashing all over the place!!!

theres no probs at all mate, base isnt directional. it dont matter wot way they face yr gona feel it,
& no the tank wont rupture, no way, no how.

yea, getting a barbecue to run on petrol alone is a b**ch..... good for starting a wood fired barbecue, but thats it LPG on the other hand..... good controllable flame and hotplate temp, easy to light and no danger of a bushfire afterwards..... lousy for grilling though
