Just for anyone doing cluster upgrades in the future (maybe this info can be added to the doco), VDO make an aftermarket Oil Pressure Sensor for the EF/EL's. Part number is 360.044.
Considering VDO made the instrument clusters and trip computers and probably a fair bit else in these cars, chances are they probably also manufacture the 'genuine Ford' ones that Fraud are selling for a higher price!

Exactly as I said, to let people know there's an aftermarket alternative avaliable.

And frank, why don't you take your advice and ring fraud for a price then ring your auto stores if your so interested in the price? I got it for a third of what fraud wanted for one, but what your local stores out in the West will sell them to you for is prolly different!

well then the only way to get it is to order it from vdo direct then..

i could not get coventrys or several other local autostores to find that number.. hell the ford number does not even cross over to that 1...

hence making it difficult for ppl to order it!

so maybe tweedle f**k should think about these things before he posts them up, or give us a part number that the average member can use to order it

guess it means coventary's system is not complete or out of date! or they don't deal with VDO stuff!
most auto stores do uuse the manufacturers part number.
mate at supercheap it didn't work for as they didn't do VDO stuff.
works at repco couse guess what they deal with VDO!
and if coventries wern't lazy they might be able to ring whoever they deal with and find if they do a cross reference part equivalent part or if they deal withh VDO they might be able to ring there supplier find there buyin price and then tell you how much they'll sell it for.
funny how the world works, isn't it frank, different brands and different stores deal with different companies and use different part numbers for the same or equivalent parts. e.g. valvoline oil filter part number is different to Ryco Z9, but if I gave you the part number of Z9 Supercrap can cross reference that and you wouldn'tt have to have your big hissy lalal sooky fit over it! your a wingy b**ch for such an old man.
