ok guys i am making my own watrer injection kit for summer
only want it to operate above 3-4rpm what i am looking for is a rpm activated swicth of some sort or a vacum operated switch ie high vaccum open circut low vaccum to zero vaccum closed circut this is to operate the water pump. also need a bleed back device or somethign to stop water flow when the pump is off as i do not want water to be "sucked" into the engine under the above load points.

Use two jaycar frequency switches in series. One hooked up to RPM signal and the other to the map sensor signal.
Try sealing the water tank so that it always sees the same pressure as the manifold. ie. when there is high vaccum the tank is at high vaccum. Have a look at intercooler "mist" type watersprays.

A VP commy came with 45psi windscreen washer unit. you'll find them at the wreakers.

Naa that's not it. Those only adjust pulses that the car is already recieving. Although you could hook it up to the fuel injectors and tune the water injector as a function of injector duty cycle but then you have to have a PWM solenoid.
I think you just want to switch it on or off. In that case look for a frequency switch. All it does is monitor a frequency input (like RPM signals or our frequency based MAP sensors) And switch someting on or off when the frequency passes a certain threshold (set with a screwdriver = easy). They are commonly used for shift lights etc. If you put two in series then both have to be triggered on before the water injection pump will start. = Done! Check your gregories manual it has the frequency ranges for the MAP sensor.

what does it mater if it's N/A??
water injection helps to stop detonation. i know of a lot of N/A cars that suffer from it on hot days. |

Dunno if I'm looking at this too simply.
How about for your RPM interlock to use the ECU output to the VSV that controls the Broadband manifold. In EF/EL's it's pin 15, <3800RPM 0V, >3800RPM 12V. Splice into the equivalent AU wire for relay coil power. Then for further interlocks, as per what's already suggested. This might save 1 RPM switch at least.
