It's a bit hard to give you concrete advice when we don't know what's inside the panel. With the ones I make, they have a narrow lip at the top, which you apply a thin line of urethane glue (Sikaflex) to. At the bottom, there are 2 metal tags, which you drill through the door and into the tags, then screwing them up.
If your panels have no obvious brackets, probably the only way to fix them is with Sikaflex. This stuff sticks like s**t to a blanket, but it takes ages to cure. Don't use a ton of it or you'll never be able to take it off. Best to glue and hold in place overnight with tape.
Hope this helps.
Cheers, Bob

I believe they are most likely stuck on, Sikaflex is the stuff used to stick trims on by panel repair places.

The genuine EL tickford door splats have the following:

- a bead of sliaflex along length of the top edge.

- a hole drilled in to the bottom corner of the door skin for a fastener to go through

- a small metal clip about 3/4 long the bottom edge that clamps the front of the splat to the door skin.

thanks heaps . they do have 2 small tags along the bottom. And yes they are aftermarket. i suppose the trickiest bit will be drilling the holes in the correct spot. :D :D :D
