Hey guys since about last thursday the ED's been running like s**t, its been progressively getting worse since then. The idle is rough and the revs are dropping really low when im not moving, it hasnt stalled yet though. When im taking off it chugs a bit too.
Ive gone through two tanks of petrol since it started playing up aswell, which isnt unusual, i just heard sometimes the choice of fuel can be a problem.

A Vague description of my problems i know, but any help is appreciated, i need to get it fixed before it gets to bad as i need it for work.

Thanks meat pie.

Try cleaning your idle speed soleniod, get the injectors cleaned, check your leads & plugs, distributor cap etc.

Thanks guys, anything else? I dont know if im imagining it because something is wrong with the motor, but it does seem to be sounding a little different to its usual self.

Blown intake gasket, search the histroy of Ford Mod's, it comes up every now and then. It happened on my bro's EL, it would idle really badly, and cough at launch. It's a b**ch to change, but it sounds like what happened to him. You could try spraying areostart all around the intake to see if it changes, or you could just try it, but I remember the post, a guy spent heaps of money trying to solve a problem like this one and got no where changing normal things you think of and it was the intake gasket. But all we can do is guess.
