I've been thinking about this for some time... I like the shape of the EF GLi headlights, but I'd love to mod them to take projectors.

I emailed Scott at www.theheadlighthospital.com.au questioning whether this was worth trying. As he explains...
Quote:
It's not worth the effort, main reason being the polycarbonate lenses do not have a clear spot to allow enough light to escape to make any difference, & the lenses cannot be modified. In front of every" projector" there needs to be clear lens (NA-C Ford/Mazda 6) are 2 examples.

I'm fairly determined though... and obviously the lenses are the big issue here. I was thinking maybe a heated sheet of plastic can be clamped over a mould to replicate the same shape??

Has anyone projectorised thier reflector headlights, or does anyone have plastic fabrication explerience that can point me in the right direction?

You could use the original headlight glass as a mould to vacuform a new lens.

That would be me you emailed, I've no doubt it can be done, however apart from what has already been pointed out, from my point of view, the time involved cannot be justified as the cost of doing it properly (legally) would be huge because there really is no market for this type of mod. If you do go ahead with it, I'd be happy to help with any info or parts you need so either email or PM me & best of luck with it bud.
