The f.cker is jammed, can't open it with a rattle gun at max torque setting either.

It's not a reverse thread or soemthing is it?

Any other advice on removing the bastard?

RH thread AFAIK .
Try the decent fitting socket and rachet with the jack handle on the rachet handle to increase the leverage trick.

Got it, had to lower the trans so I could leverage on both sides of the breaker bar so I didn't put any end-load on the breaker bar which was damaging the head of the bolt.

Stupid autos.

Put in an EA - ED 4 sp BTR box, at least then you've got a dipstick and external adjusters for the bands . . . . . :P

just use a good single hex socket and make the bar longer and longer until it comes

If an auto box ever comes apart from an engine, an auto box does not return :)
