High Oil press is very good. Is it still registering on the gauge?

Yes, only just, at idle it sits between the second last marker and the last marker on the gauge, but when you rev it a bit, it goes past the last marker (a little bit).
um can you tell me why High oil pessure is good?, i always heard its not so good.

i think low pressure means that the engine has some major problems like somethin aint workin or your oil level is low.
dont qoute me on it though

both extremes are bad, low usually means excessive bearing gaps, high pressure could mean there is a blockage in one of the galleries, before jumping to conclusions, get your sender unit and gauge checked

Hate to burst your bubble, but theres a fair chance its not gauges. Its still a good idea to check them, but after rebuilding an engine, it would seem suspicious that they went at the same time. But you never can be too careful

Did they pack the oil return spring ?
Or fit a high presure / volume pump? Check with capilary gauge? It maybe 10 higher than normal, with electronic gauge it maybe alittle out of calibration ????Reading higher than it should...

Or fit a high presure / volum pump? the Mods i did to my engine when i rebuilt it were, crank reground, the block decked 10thou, stg2 heads (unleaded), stg2 cam, bigger carb, more agressive coil. i left the oil pump as it was when it came out - standard, but i will now have my gauges checked - just to be safe.

put a mechanical gauge on it close to the donk and what pressure is it at idle and at revs when warm
my old clevo had 95 psi and it ran for 7 years and umpteen hundred thousand ks with high oil pressure with no trouble what grade oil are you using . |

Hmm sounds like tight clearances??
I'd run a low visc oil !!! Like 5/30... to get good even lubrication....

Maybe the sender unit is rooted

Only real problem with too much pressure is that your soaking up a little power to drive the pump.

Maybe you need to use a softer bypass spring in the pump.
