it looks like a spacer but i think its so the rims dont get dirty from all the brake fluid n stuff...

am i right? if so, how effective is this thing? looks ugly as

cant see too well, the sun is shineing right in my eyes in my office at the moment.
but looks like a dust deflector, to try and stop all the dust and s**t dirtying up your rims

its just to stop the brake dust and that getting on the wheels, i'd remove them as it allows more air to get in and cool your brakes down!

does 2/10's of f**k all really, just be prepared to see rusty hubs ;)

take it off, they can be quite hard to get off ive hear, but nothing a hammer/boot cant fix ;)

yeah get rid of them i had em on for ages just a thin plate of metal if u take the wheel off it should just slide off looks heaps better with out

i took mine off, just a few small bolts holding em on, a couple are hard to get to, but nothin a pair of pliers wont fix
