Just keep an eye on rust.

Inspect it in all the common places.

Definately go an 8 though. It depends how much your gunna use it. I loved having the XC, but it was no were near as nice to drive every day as the EF, just not as refined and comfortable, but it was great fun to drive though in a different sense. If your gunna be using it lots then an AU Ghia would be my choice.=, but otherwise go old school!

u can get nice ones for under 10, ive seen a few, be cautious of rust on the window sills though and in the boot, because they are b**ch to replace, sills especially. anywhere else can be fixed with not 2 much effort, and good luck.

If its for a daily driver then dont bother, If its a project car then yeah for sure you could get one heaps cheaper than what you have and use the extra money on the engine and maybe a straight gas setup
