Beefcake that's not necessarily true.
It really depends on what type of Supercharger is used - centrifigals are much like a turbo and give good top end.

Then you look at the F6 Typhoon with its Turbo, and see that it has 550NM at like 2000rpm or whatever.

It can go either way, "Supercharger = bottom end, Turbo = top end" is just a misconception.

what a memory that was, the thing was such a huge 4wd the front wheels were close to leaving the road!   :!: :!:

there are a couple of turbo petrol patrols i race with and they are pulling low low 14's and a diesel patrol that pulls low 15's
i prefer my vortex supercharger it gives me good power from under 1000 rpm i can take my foot of the clutch at idle and it will just start spinning the wheels without any accelarator

Well put voxace. Altho i think when people spout that particular misconception, they would be referring to posotive displacement chargers such as eaton/GM blowers. The method these blowers use to compress air within the manifold does equate to bottom end power that a turbo simply could not provide. Ever.

As for the CAPA kit, yes they do vortech kits for the BA n/a 6. Dont think they have a blower kit for the XR6T (altho it would be possible....), perhaps this is a turbo upgrade (i.e. larger intercooler or the like).

A ba n/a i6 with a vortech would be a formidable opponent.

Yeah the supercharged 6 is fast. In the motor hot tuner edition they tested one out with the stage one kit with 227kw atw. It ran a 13.9 in an auto ute. The stage 2 has an intercooler and brings up power to around 260atw. Imagine how an hsv driver would feel getting smoked by a ba xt with that.

Yeah of course it's for the N/A if it says supercharger.
BUT, I'm thinkning CAPA made a f**k and they 'meant' turbocharger if the price is only like a grand. 240kW - 300kW for $1K sounds about right.

the opgrade is exactly that, you buy the supercharger kit, it gives u X kw, buy the upgrade kit, and u get a few more goodies that will allow the supercharger to work to its full potential
