i've customised my taillights in my EB and i've added an extra bulb holder to each light so i can have 4 globes for my brakelights...basically i was tryin to figure out why 4 normal globes work, but 4 LED globes wont work properly. just the 2 LED globes work fine. with the 4 in wen the park lites are turned on they function as my brakelights and wen i brake there is no change?

just wondering if anyone has any idea why they would be doin this?

cheers
Paul

Possible, LEDs need the polarity right, globes don't.

cause they are single contact fittings instead of doubles?

mmm 2 led globs work but 4 do not...

maybe the resitance is too high accross the 4 globes?

but the resistance for LED's is way less than 4 normal globes, if 4 normal galobes work than 4 LED's will work definately.

I'd say that the globes only have single contacts on the base rather than dual contact.

haha nah aint that bad...they the dual fillament LED globes...
i was thinkin more along the lines of what Frank sed...thort that the resistance mite be too high. but i guess its possible on the polarity as well

yes the resitance for a single LED is
but for them to work on 12 volts there has to be a resitor in the globe or they blow!!!

hence my suggestion....
