I have lowered my EB.The amount of spacers needed to get the front wheels to a reasonable position, verge on dangerous.I am led to believe that the upper control arms from the ED are longer from body to wheel. This would reduce the need for so many spacers. Is there anybody out there who could confirm or deny this.If it is wrong, then suggestions would be appreciated .

Dangerous is when there is less than a nut's thickness of thread exposed on the adjusters. This could occur with ultra low springs.
The better option is to use a set of Kmac ratcheting adjusters, but they are about $300. I doubt there is any variance from EA to EL in the front uppers. |

Thanks Bert. The rachet option was considered, but on anecdotal advice I went with the spacer variety.

No difference at all between EA to El upper arms.
Might I recommend going to a Peddars and getting them to fit a camber caster kit for your car, (shim style). The kits come with spacers and the mounts have longer bolts to take up for the spacers that may be required. Had it done to mine, very happy.

TS50EB Thanks for your response.I have the spacer type uca bushes fitted.I just had the feeling that it required too many spacers to correct the alignment. It was just that someone had suggest that there was incremental differences between models.Once again, thanks very much.

What size rims are you running? If you still have 15s or even 16s, the Falcons can handle a bit of camber without chewing tyres.

[Hornet, and Fairmont 1998,thanks very much for your words of wisdom.I have the K-Mac spacer type bushes, which I fitted myself.I have had the alignment done by an excellent technician. It was always my personal apprehension that the shims were a little too much, but I feel completely confident now.Cheers to ytou all.
