i dont pretend to know anything about car audio, but wont speakers in the dash facing up against the `screen, sound worse than the same units placed in the doors facing the occupants?

*gets back in box* I'm pretty sure even the Lexus LS400 had the Nakamichi tweeters in the dash in exactly the same spot as ours are. And theres no denying that the system in the 99/2000 LS400 was pure excellence. On the flip side, I've had some issues with my Alpine 171's in the dash. Either too bright, and if I faced them away from the glass toward the inner dash they sounded ragged. As they would. So I've placed them back up to the glass and put a pin in the -6db switch on the crossovers. It's much better now, but I think I could do with better tweeters next time IMO |
