Doesn't matter how shallow they are when I'm running 12 inch wide wheels, never done to run tall wheels, just to run fat rubber

i can see the comments are mixed, and i can understand both views here. at the end of the day it comes down to personal preference. i have spent enough money on my engine at the time been to have it where i want it, and im happy with how it is and i really love how 20s look on that green XF. im purely building my car to rip a decent burnout and have a clean tidy look about that i can enjoy taking to the odd show here and there and enjoy it .

so you'll be doing burnouts on 20's, hope you have lots of money for the tyres or know someone for really cheap ones!!!!

no, stock wheels on the back (even the dude with the green xf uses stockos, see the pic) like i could afford to be ripping burnouts on 20s. theres a time and a place for everything, id like to be able to cruise around park my car for a display, then have the go to have some fun with it. which im sure is the goal/ idea for most people building street cars

i think the 20's would look good, especially if its on display it will turn a few heads and whispers in the background "did u see the xe with the 20's".imo if building a show car i would like to hear those kinds of words.im in the process of building an xf with a turbo eb 4ltr.it is part show/drag/weekend car and will have 3 sets of wheels.19's for the show, interceptors for drag, and just a set of alloys for the street.i think like u said it all comes down to personal preference.

yeah mate thats exactly how i want to have it setup aswell, have the nice shiny big wheels for displays etc, then have some nice alloy 16/17s for the odd weekend cruise etc. the way the government is i doubt my car will see many strip runs, but if they pull their heads in and build us a drag strip things would change around here id reckon.

looks good to me. as long as you have decent sized brakes behind em they should look porno.
but i'm also from a minitruck background so 20's are always the go |

dont quote me but i think some modifying has to be done to fit 20. my cousin has a nice ZL and had 18s with 245 tyres on it and he had scrubbing issues
maybe ring a tyre joint |
