Anyone got any pics of a shift kit for a EF, mate has been talking about then, no qlue what they look like.

yer should be 3 wires to the ecu and the a cable of 3 wires to a swicth :)

so i take it a shift kit can be turned on/off depending when u want to use it?

Yep. Unless its a proper shift kit which is installed into the gearbox. The electronic ones are on/off types.

Yeah the basic ones are on/off.

Can get 2 stage units which are on/off and when on is selected, can pick between firm and really firm...

There's also ones with pentomiters on em now so you can dial in the firmness.

Yeah i think thiers a kit like that from Shiftkits.com.au that sounds similar to that. I plan on getting one installed soon. After the next transmission service and the adding of a trans cooler :) Should make an intersting investment.

$70 + $15 postage seems a lot for a shift kit. Isn't it just some wires, a resistor and a switch? I remember everyone was doing these mods themselves for about $5 in parts.

yeah about $9 dollars in parts. pluss the time to put them together
so $70 aint that bad.

i sell mine for 50

Yeah im no good at soldering wires and electrics or anything so i wouldnt have the slightest clue on how to install it. :roll:
