Hey mate, im currently turboing a ef fairmont, although on petrol not gas, and heres a list of expenses so far. Alot of these are cheaper then what youd expect to pay because ive spent the last 12 months bargain shopping.

t04e turbo- $700
wastegate- $400
Intercooler- #320
fuel pump- $180
440cc injecors- $350
manifold- $700
wolf 3d v4 -$1000
oil lines- $280
cooler piping, dump, car 3 inch exhaust- $1700
3.45 lsd- $750 (aprox)
oil cooler for auto- $300
Gauges-$350ish
installation and tuning of wolf- $580

So theres roughly $6700 before you even look at opening the engine or gearbox. All those parts were brand new except the wolf and diff.

The diffs are bloody strong on these cars..I have been runing up to 380 rwkw and had NO issues..Keep in mind it hasn;t turned over 90.000 yet..It's more the way you drive.. Pluss it pays to upgrade auto with atleast AU relays and up the line presure with good trans cooler..If you drive like a wanker naturally things are going tp break..Do it as a project?? Buy a latter model low kay engine, decompress it alittle [machine chambers] buy parts over time...Most parts that are required would need replacing on high mailage engine anyway..Don't listen to people that say this is better for another $$$ when a $500 or so part will do...Also some of your school mates must have jobs working is auto machinist industry ??? Talk to them ....I tell you cash and machining dirrect from automotive is bloody cheap!! Deal direct with machine shop...

YEP but not all in one lump sum though...
Initial I would say $7k....
But welding these parts yourself gives you great satisfaction..But in my case its $12k worth of welders etc as well...
