Looking at the wheel, the disc that sort of covers half the rotor so you only see the top of the calipers. Is it there to keep dust out or in, Keep heat in or out, For looks only?? does anyone have an explanation??

its just a dusk deflector. you can get rid of it but your wheels might get abit dirtier sooner rather than later.

i say they're a croc. ditch em and have cooler brakes!!! just wash ur wheels a little more often.

also noticed 18" rims & FPV's dont have them so i reckon i will ditch them, and maybe paint the calipers too. thanks

FPV's don't have them because they have a treated hub most cars have the rusty hub and it looks shokin, the discs hide that too
