one option is the pbr full-on brake upgrade, about $2500 fully installed.
www.pbrperformance.com.au and it just keeps on going up in price from there, for rotor and caliper upgrades.

You can always go to ford they offer upgrades for you when you buy the BA.
You can get the Ford Explorer Rotors and Brakes to fit the BA, They are much larger than the XR8 Rotor and I think the calipers are a twin piston caliper not to sure. They are coming out on the new BF XR8's now. Or you can get some brake pads called "RED STUFF" and they are similar to the material used in some race cars, use them with the DBA Slotted and they will stop you good. Not to sure who makes the Brake Pads but ill ring up our brake suppliers tomorrow and find out and post it up for you. I was going to use the "RED STUFF" when I had the turbo idea for my AU.

Yeah, BF's have the territory rotors on them, with a retuned caliper, but i already have a car and fords performance brakes are rediculously priced, even for employees, so i reckon i'll go to a brake place tommorow and check it out, thanks heaps guys!

depends on how much u wanna spend...there are big kits available that are more the next step up from PBR such as brembo, AP Racing and Alcon ... Cebco also do some bigger setups for the BAs

So i take it then u dont have the performance brake option fitted to your XR6T.
If you arent that keen for 2500K the rotors on the BA/Fs arent bad so Id just get braided lines and semi competition or high grade pads. Braided line your looking round $220+ for the set + bout $200-250 in really good pads. Otherwise do the CEBCO/PBR $2500K package...i dont really know if i would do that tho....might be better to do my first option with good pads and lines and save up til later if u plan for some serious modding where better brakes are more realistically required....have u done much to your car at current...thats created the need for better brakes.

remember that the pbr kit is what ford use as there premo stuff, after which come the brembo's, they just offer a eliptical slotted rotor instead of the standard slotting.
have you contacted any wreckers about getting brembo's off gt's and the like, don't know whats required to fit them thou.

no mods at the moment, but the BA brake package is just not enough, plus i'll probly fit the APS Phase 2 kit soon, that should warrant the brakes

ok when i drove the BAMKII XR6T i was appalled at the stock brakes but when driving one with the performance option i thought they were pretty good. The PBR kit will be the same as fords upgrade so you will be looking around the $4K mark + to be any better The APS phase 2 will give u what 280rwkw for the manual with unichip...so for a brembo full brake package Cebco do them for $6800 thats everything u need or $3850 to just to the front 2 wheels. Cebcos AP racing option is $3800 for the front and $3550 for the rears. Both the AP and Brembo packs are 4 piston and are very high quality....guys on this forum with AP setups are runnin 330rwkw and 400+rwkw. If you want any bigger like 6 piston you will have to look at something custom or Alcon but i dont think youd wanna spend 8K+ on brakes

I spoke to APS, and they reckon phase 2 should be 330 fwkw so PBR slotted should be ok, don't plan to use all 330 kw all the time, appreciate your help Kev!

thats kewl yeah the phase 2 is meant to be 330fwkw so round 282rwkw i think they get. But yeah the PBR kit should be fine or just get good pads for the rears and a nice beefy brembo/AP setup on the front wheels that would be the best option
