Just tonight I had to jump start my wife's car - I used my EF and I followed the book and everything

Now - the interior light stays on and won't go off no matter what.
I've pulled the globe to stop it.

What could be causing this and have I fried my computer by doing the jump start?

If you friend the computer, I very much doubt the light would stay on, it would be the opposite, and it wouldn't do the whole fade thing.
So I would say that its something else.... strange however.

Cheers

check all the door sensor things... (you know the buttons that push in when you close the door...)

grab a test light or something... unscrew those things and check if current goes through them.. make sure they are all pushing in (may need mroe then 1 person)

the same thing has happened to my mums EF wagon...the problem on hers was to do with the smartlock on the boot, the car couldnt tell the boot was closed, so couldnt lock it, and left the interior light on all the time, so i just took the globe out...

took it to ford when we next got it serviced, and they fixed it, was the actuator, but then about 2 days later the same thing happened, but this time with the right hand rear door haha...so we've just left the globe out completely...

but perhaps this could've happened to you?
