What is the difference with Pre AU cars... im trying to find a set of decent rims but there isnt much a selection, as the ones i want only are for AU and onwards.

Why is this? What do i need to make them fiT!

the offset is different, if you put AU/BA rims on an eseries the wheels will sit to far inside the guard, not only reducing wheel track, but theres a good chance it will rub on suspension componants.

you can use spacers (not recommended as they are illegal)

or hub adapeters, see tempe tyres thread below for that they look like.

pps check with authorities about hub adapters first, opinions are mixed

ill give vic roads a call...
so basically all the hubs do is push the wheel outwards a bit..

The hub adaptors give you a more positive offset. E series hubs sit way in there with an uncommon +6 offset. I just measured my adaptors on my EL and they are 34mm so I have a +40 offset and can use AU onwards wheels.

Edit: They cost an extra $200 for 4 when I bought my rims from Tempe Tyres.

is there any disadvantages to using these hub adaptors??? and are they the same as spacers?? if not what are the differences??

some say there illegal, some say there not

when i was running AU wheels with hubadaptors i kept snapping wheelstuds, if done correctly i cant see any problems though..

I got eseries offset now tho, dont bother me! lol
