I believe the futura already has a mid series BEM.
No need to upgrade.
Just add the rear windows and run all the wires to the console.
You will be able to get all of the connections from the 4 switches
when you put them in. Make sure you get the plug with the switches.
Makes life a lot easier.

You dont even need to upgrade the BEM for power windows...
The only feature the mid / High Series BEM gives you for power windows is power for 30 or 60 seconds when you switch the ignition key off. (Which is shortened to 10 seconds or something when you open a door.

If you cant be stuffed changing the BEM (Futuras do have the Mid Series BEM), the simply hook power up for your power windows from the Accessories line, or direct to the Battery (+12V) Line.

Body Electronics Modules.....

The docos for these will return possibly this weekend.
But basically these things control all the useless little luxury features like interior dome lamp delay, smartlock / immobilisastion (EF onwards), antenna height, instrument backlighting, variable intermittant wipers,...... Blah Blah Blah... (Im sure there is lots more that these things do, its just that I cant think of them right now).

on some models, they can be easily upgraded, meaning that you can almost plug and play new features for your falcon... Other models though need a fair bit of re-wiring to get extra features (EF Mid series -> High series for example)

I just put the EF Smartlock / BEM page up in the modification section.
This doco explains things much better than I could in a single post.

Basically for the EF/EL Models
GLi - Got the Low Series
Futura, XR's Got the Mid Series (Which is based on the low series, but has extra parts fitted)
Fairmont, Ghias, LTD, and GT got the High series

The doco is located here
http://www.fordmods.com/phpBB2/documents.php?doc=47

Hope this helps
