hey guys im bolting on head to my xf motor with touque wrench and they are 68, 85 and 92 like said on the sheet but the problem is are the bolts ment to snap when only doing 85 on bolt 3 by the instructions
LOL WTF do i do now Man im not getting far on this car

Not sure, but I dont think they are supposed to snap.
Did you use new head bolts? Did you get NM and ft-lb mixed up?

why are there different numbers for different bolts? i thought the head would have wanted to be torqued down evenally.
and no their not meant to snap as above, did you use new bolts?

Because you don't torque them all the way to start with, your torque in stages, so the first number is the first stage (torque all bolts to this in sequence), second number torque them all further to this and third torque them all to that to finish it off. I'd say if you used second hand headbolts there's your problem, or if you used new ones the quality was crud! |

Arrr theres where i went wrong i use original ones didn't know u had to replace them i only got to my darn second stage of touque on bolt 3 on the instructions
