Assuming its not a flush service then even at over the counter prices your paying over $200 for the labour. If you are willing to give it a go then do a search it has been on a few threads.
thanks Cheers TW.

you sure it is the 1st to 2nd solenoid that needs replacing?
most often it is the S5 that goes as this controls the pressure opf the oil in the biox

If it only shifts rough on 1st to 2nd then its that solenoid. If it shifts all over the place in all gears then its either the inhibitor switch or the S5.
Can you do a full tranny flush by yourself or is it specifically a mechanics job? What's involved with that? |

yeh it only shift hard in 1st to 2nd not all the time but most of the time. I also heard that when this solenoid plays up it will end up buggering all the other gear changing solenoids. Dont know how much of that is true.
not sure about being able to do the service urself. Is it possible? |

What makes them NOT kick down..I pulled a car trailor with car on from the other side of taree some of the hills it didn't kick down till real low road speed...Fuel consumption wasn't the best either..Wouldn't pull down manually either...
