Hey :-)

I have removed the factory cassette/tuner deck from an AU1 and have been left with absolutely no idea how to install a single din aftermarket CD/tuner deck. The factory deck appears to have no mounting brackets, instead it has a long screw coated in rubber which inserts into a hole in the rear of the centre console.

Does anyone have any idea what I should do?

Please refer to the attached photos for further clarification.

Regards

Anthony

post a pic of the plastic trim you took off to access the back please. you should be able to attach a mounting bracket to it.

ok
i pressume u have bought a new HU and that HU comes iwht a mounting bracket

u will need to get the ford AU1 pocket and install that at the bottom

then the new HU bracket can be screwed into the sides inside the facia there is some metal use that

if u are unsure get a pro to do it

I purchased the head unit used from an eBay seller.

The head unit does not come with a sleeve/cradle.
