hey people,

i just got a fairlane light for my fairmont.

my dilemma is that the wires that r coming from the fairlane light r different colours the the ones in the roof.

i did a search and couldnt really find awhole lot to help me.

can anyone that has done this point me in the right direction?

do u mean the dome lamp in the centre of the roof?

if so should only be what 2 wires? + and -

if it dont work 1 way try the other :)

yeh im talking about the dome light.

i just dont want ta f**k anything up by mixing the wires up.

on the car there r 2 yellow/green and 1 blue/black wires and on the fairlane light there is 1 yellow/green, 1 blue/black and 1 black.

what should i do? :?

+12v is yellow/green, needed for domelight and reading light power, black is earth, black/blue is the domelight fading line.

So simply match them up, use one of the mounting screws for the black wire earth.

you shouldn't f**k any thing up any way. If you mix the wires up you'll blow a fuse at worst
