Hey there all just a quick question does a el fairmont front bar just bolt straight on to an el futura?? Just when inquring on price at a ford dealer they said I would have to change bonnet grill and headlights... I personally dont see the need to change all this but then again I may be missing something..

Thanks to all helpers.

Is there any other bar that would fit that allows you to insert the driving lights??

nope - no EL bar will slot straight on. need to change to fairmont/XR/EF front to get the holes to fit drive lights in! :)

again, you'd need to do lights & bonnet as well as bumper - the shapes etc are different so won't line up.

'tis a shame to have to do so much work! :?

Before you decide they arent driving lights, theya re cornering lights. When you indicate they light up to illuminat ehte curve ahead. You are better off getting other driving lights from automotive stores on your car.

The wattage output isnt high enough to emit decent light, also they ar epointed out not ahead.

Well I am now off and thinking the bar needs a respray thanks to a bit of paint that just decided to disapear one drive. Also I was intending to wire them up on their own so they didnt just come on with the turning signal..

i think what they are trying to say is the globes in the turning lights arnt good enough for driving lights, and they lights when slotted into the fairmont bumber dont shoot straight, they shoot off to either side, *cornering lights* they shoot off to each corner
