hey danny here, been a while since i been on. I just got my XR6 stutter fixed. After giving up on the thing i took it to the mechanic and, he installed a new coil pack and said there was a block in the fuel line. He fixed the problem and now i have another problem, replacing the rear tyres, they go bald quite quickly for some reason!?!?!?! hahahaha

Had same problem recently, fixed it with new dizzy cap, rotor and spark plugs. Not sure which one fixed it.
(Didn't have the leads so changed them a week later) |

you will stuff the oxy sensor even more doing that!!!!!!!!!!!!! Leave the bolt unlose a bit, the oxy sensor will start creating alot of smoke as the hot exhaust gases pass over the wet WD40 on the sensor. Even if it looks dry it will still start smoking. there non servicable....................... unless they a caked with carbon and then they should just be hit with an air compressor... you probably cost this bloke $100 telling him this. His oxygen sensor will probably be stuffed now. |

I found out the hard way; I got a Oxygen sensor from the wreckers a few years back for the EB cost $20. Anyway it was caked in carbon, i whacked it in anyway and stuck my multimeter on it. Yes working like a dream switching voltage. Next week i thought i would take it out for a clean and sprayed it with CRC 5.56(same as WD-40), anyway i started the car and tested the oxygen sensor and it was stuffed. Smoke was coming out of the threaded hole for it, not a good move. Still stuffed a week later............. |
