it sounds like an actuator issue, and if using the key in the drivers door makes a difference id suspect its the drivers actuator... try the passenger key lock if u have one and see if that makes a difference

the keys do lock the car thats not the problem the remote doesn't lock them for some reason. just beeps and the locks pop back up

have a look at your door knobs '' sometimes if thay are to low it will not let car lock because it will only go down so far'' as there is not a lot of force as when you use the key.

Sounds like the actuator linkage is out of adjustment, so the actuator recycles. The linkage may be stiff and the actuator cannot move it the full distance where as the key can. Take the inside off your drivers door and disconnect the actuator electrical plug. then try the remote if all is well then the actuator or linkage is at fault.

i have the same problem, but it does it when i use the key as well. does that mean that its the passenger door lock thats stuffed? i will try using key in the passenger door tonight. its doesnt do it all the time, just sometimes.
can anything like that go wrong with the back door locks? or just the front? cheers |
