hi i wanna make my cluter look like this in my EL. but just wondering can i use standard LED's from d**k and put them in with a resistor. can some one please help me and how many do i need...

hey mate welocme to the forum :)

yes use a LED with a resistor inside the factory bulb holder.

has all the info u want :)

only i suggest to calcu late the resitor u need use 14volts as that is what the alt produces when running :)

uh just to clarify, its easier to use the ready fit leds , but yes u can use a led and resistor no worrys so long as you know what your doing. you need to drop the 13.8V line to about 3V so you need a resistor to dissipate 10.8V and then u can work out current thru it to get the value of the resistor :D problem solved, i used this method for my door handle leds.

why dont you just buy LED wedge bulbs?

I paid a few dollars for 10 blue ones on ebay.
