Well you always have brands like Lukey and Hurricane, redback etc.. The fine for having no cat converter on a car that must have one is $10,000 i believe. or it could be $1,000 :( But its lots, so yeah not worth it IMO.

What year is your XF. Mines and 85 and has no cat converter. If its 86 or newer then you need one. Lucky we don't live in california cause over there you need a brand new cat every 2 years.

Na definately not, so either replace it with a hi-flow cat if youve got the $$$ or just get a replacement one.

the fine in qld is up to $10,000 i belive and up to $12,000 for the shop that fit a system without one. dunno about down there in the southern ares but up here the bacon now has a radar that can measure your emissions from about 500m away and can ping you for not having a cat without putting there heads under your car to have a look.

Tell you what. You can have my zorst for 400 bucks. From extractors to tailpipe and all you gota do is find a cat to fit it and I bet you another 400 bucks that you'll be happy with it.

Not sure about newer pacemakers, but I have pace's already on my XF EFI. They fit fine with what I believe is the standard airbox.

Gday all

i want to know what would be a good performance exhaust for my xfghia
and also, what would give it a wicked agressive note

cheers fellaz

a friend of mine works at a dynoshop and has put a lot of 250 on it and he reckons 2 1/4 performs much better than 2 1/2.

Its $1,000 per cylinder or $2,000 per rotor (in a rotary powered vehicle) in NSW. That goes for all emissions related stuff. Everything from a punched out cat to missing PCV and EGR hoses. If you can prove that your car runs cleaner without EGR then fine but if not then you better not try and give the cops any attitude.
